From Information to Action: Becoming a Data-Driven Organization

Data can and should be used to help your organization make smarter decisions about the work you do now and shape the way you work in the future. NTEN and NPower Charlotte Region have partnered to bring you a 1-day workshop on June 16 to help you do just that.

Case Study lrg

As more data becomes available to us and the tools to understand it all become more user-friendly, nonprofits have an opportunity - even a duty - to use data to gain a more robust understanding of our work, the communities in which we work, and the impact we're making.

During this workshop, your nonprofit will:

  • Move beyond written reports and simple database queries, and learn to use modern data analysis to increase our impact in ways we never imagined.
  • Identify the data you already have, and what you might still need - perhaps from publicly available sources - to solve your most pressing problems.
  • Learn strategies to uncover your biggest data challenge and receive practical advice on how to work toward a solution.

 Who Should Attend

Nonprofit organizations and those who want to envision how data can drive their decisions and meet their missions more effectively.  Multiple staff from each organization are encouraged to attend to facilitate a better team learning environment, including

  • Executive Directors / CEOs
  • Nonprofit Board Members
  • Communications and Marketing Directors
  • Development Directors
  • IT Directors
  • Other Leadership or C-suite staff

Keep Learning
It doesn't end after one day.  NPower Charlotte Region will continue to work with interested participants to form smaller collaborative groups based on the business questions identified in the Summit. These groups will work through practical solutions to their questions and become data-driven organizations themselves.
